Delete your Postie account

You can permanently delete your Postie account at any time. This page explains what happens, how to do it from inside the app, and how to request deletion by email if you no longer have the app installed.

What deletion does

  • Cancels any active Postie subscription in Stripe.
  • Ends your access immediately. Unused postcard credits are forfeited.
  • Removes your saved data from Postie, and delete your login from our live systems.
  • Postcards already sent or in production may still be delivered once it has been printed and handed off for delivery.
  • Some records are retained for the limited periods and purposes described in Section 9 of our Privacy Policy (e.g. tax and fraud-prevention records).
  • You can create a new account later with the same email.

Option 1 — Delete from inside the app (fastest)

If the Postie app is installed and you can sign in, delete your account in seconds:

  1. Open Postie and sign in.
  2. Tap the Settings tab (gear icon).
  3. Scroll to the Account section and tap Delete account.
  4. Type DELETE to confirm.

Your account is removed from our live systems immediately and your subscription is cancelled in the same step.

Option 2 — Request deletion by email

If you no longer have the app installed, you can ask us to delete your account by email. Send the request from the email address on your Postie account so we can verify your identity.

Or write to us directly at service@trypostie.com with the subject line Account deletion request. We aim to respond within 2 business days, and complete deletion within the time required by applicable law (generally up to 45 days for residents of U.S. states with comprehensive privacy laws).
